Hi, I'm Becca!
I’ve designed and furnished over 10 short-term rental properties, and what I’ve learned goes far beyond layouts and furniture. Thoughtful design has the power to create joy, bring people together, and turn everyday moments into lasting memories.
Creating beautiful, functional spaces isn’t just my work — it’s how I help families feel at home. From the shape of a pillow to the way a curtain softly falls, every detail matters because every detail becomes part of someone’s story.
Layers of Joy was built on the belief that great design should feel personal, intentional, and accessible. By working fully virtually and designing room by room, I’m able to thoughtfully craft spaces that are not only perfectly done, but truly lived in — whether it’s a single room, a family home, or multiple properties.
Good design shouldn’t feel overwhelming or out of reach. It should feel joyful, comforting, and meaningful — a place where memories are made, traditions are created, and life is fully lived. That’s how I approach every space I design.

Testimonials
I was overwhelmed trying to pull a room together, and her virtual process made everything so simple. The design felt so us, and the shoppable links saved me hours. I couldn’t believe how affordable it was compared to traditional designers. I’m already planning our next room with Layers of Joy.

Becca understands short-term rentals in a way most designers don’t. Every choice was intentional, budget-conscious, and guest-friendly. The space photographs beautifully and feels cohesive without being overdone. We’ve had multiple guests comment on the design alone. Worth every penny.

From the very beginning, Becca listened to how we actually live in our home. The room-by-room approach made it manageable, and the final design feels layered, warm, and functional. It finally feels like home.
